Our Stars are Always Out

Here at ECVC, we refer to our clients as our "stars". They are always "out" working in our communities making this world a better place!

In today’s workplace, workforce development and retention of workers at all skill levels are two of the major issues facing small and large businesses. By tapping into non-traditional sources of labor, employers can now meet their workforce shortages.

Just imagine finding workers who are self-motivated, dependable, dedicated, hardworking and productive. In addition, these are people who are pre-screened and either trained on site or pre-trained at no cost to you.

People with disabilities represent the single, largest minority group seeking employment in today’s market, and they are eager to join the workforce.
At ECVC we evaluate, pre-screen, and work diligently at matching our clients with available jobs. We will even help you with the paper work to file for Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC).
In addition a 2006 study done by the University of Massachusetts, showed there were overwhelmingly positive attitudes among consumers toward socially responsible companies especially the ones that hire people with disabilities.
It is definitely a “win, win” situation, and we hope you will join the more than 40 businesses in Pitt, Martin, Beaufort and Craven Counties that hire our clients.

People with disabilities represent the single largest and most diverse minority in the U.S. One out of five Americans has a disability or approximately 49 million people. People with disabilities have better attendance and are more committed to their jobs. Families with a disabled member are more likely to support businesses that are disability friendly. Seventy two percent of working age people with disabilities have high school diplomas or a higher degree. Most people with disabilities want to work. Two out of three people with disabilities who are unemployed, say they would prefer to work. People with disabilities work or are trained to work in all kinds of professions. Tax incentives are in place to encourage employers to hire people with disabilities. The best reason to hire a person with disabilities is because that person is qualified.
