ECVC Names Lisa Ward-Ross as New President

Eastern Carolina Vocational Center, our region’s largest employer of person’s with disabilities, is proud to announce that Lisa Ward-Ross has been named President of the organization.

The promotion of Ward-Ross demonstrates ECVC’s continued commitment to finding meaningful employment for people with disabilities throughout eastern North Carolina.

Ward-Ross has worked with ECVC for nearly 30 years. Prior to being named President, she served as the Chief Operating Officer. During that time, she was responsible for all aspects of daily operations of the organization, which employs 200 people and provides employment services for over 300 individuals annually. Before being named the COO, she managed the day-to-day operations of the Program and Human Resources departments for 29 years.

Her long-standing commitment to ECVC is surpassed only by her performance in each of her roles in the organization. Throughout her storied career, she has earned numerous awards and recognitions for her hard work and dedication.

Ward-Ross replaces Mr. Bob Jones, who served faithfully as president for many years. “Mr. Jones’ work with ECVC is truly immeasurable. I’m honored to follow in his steps and I look forward to continuing the work for ECVC for years to come.” Says Ward-Ross. “There are some fantastic people here; people that are making a major difference for people, and I’m extremely excited about the work we’re going to do together.”
