On October 1, 2026, ECVC gathered with employees, community partners, customers, friends, and supporters to celebrate our 61st Anniversary and National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

The evening celebrated the people at the heart of ECVC’s mission and highlighted the value and talent that people with disabilities bring to workplaces and communities every day.

2026 Employee Success Story of the Year

Meet James Stewart

At ECVC’s 61st Anniversary Celebration, we were proud to recognize James Stewart as our 2026 Employee Success Story of the Year.

James is a member of ECVC’s janitorial team, where his dedication, growth, and commitment to his work have made him a valued member of the ECVC team.

His employment journey reflects ECVC’s mission “to help persons with disabilities attain a higher quality of life through the achievement of their vocational goals.”

James’s story was also featured on the front page of The Daily Reflector, sharing his employment journey and accomplishments with the broader community.

An Inspiring Message from John Register

We were honored to welcome John Register as the keynote speaker for ECVC’s 61st Anniversary Celebration.

A U.S. Army Veteran, Paralympic Silver Medalist, author, and inspirational speaker, John shared a powerful message about resilience, adaptation, and moving beyond perceived limitations to discover new possibilities.

John’s visit to ECVC extended beyond the banquet. Earlier in the day, he spent time at our facility meeting employees, touring our operations, and learning more about the people and work behind ECVC’s mission.

John took the time to meet employees individually, learn their names, hear about their work, and bring plenty of smiles to the production floor before sharing his message with our guests that evening.

We are grateful to John for helping make our 61st Anniversary Celebration such a memorable occasion.

The 2026 National Disability Employment Awareness Month theme, “Celebrating Value and Talent,” reflects something ECVC sees every day: people with disabilities bring valuable skills, abilities, perspectives, and talents to the workplace.

For more than six decades, ECVC has worked to help persons with disabilities achieve their vocational goals through employment, training, and workforce development opportunities while providing quality products and services to businesses, government agencies, and organizations.

Our 61st Anniversary Celebration gave us an opportunity to reflect on that history, recognize the people who make our work possible, and look ahead to the opportunities still to come.
