Creating Jobs with Purpose Since 1965

Eastern Carolina Vocational Center (ECVC) is a nonprofit organization based in Greenville, North Carolina, with a mission to help individuals with disabilities achieve meaningful employment. Since 1965, this mission has remained at the forefront of everything we do.

Our primary impact is through fulfilling federal contracts at our 120,000 square foot, climate-controlled facility at 2100 N. Greene Street. As an AbilityOne federal contractor and proud partner of SourceAmerica, ECVC manufactures and packages high-demand products for government use, including:

  • Labeling and packaging of batteries
  • Picture and certificate frames

  • Battery terminal adapters

  • Drill bits, push pins, and thumbtacks

  • Pipe cleaners (used for weapon maintenance)

These contracts employ a workforce that is over 94% individuals with disabilities — a powerful demonstration of the AbilityOne Program’s success in creating jobs through federal procurement.

Expanding Our Mission Through Local Partnerships

To further our mission, ECVC partners with commercial businesses across Eastern North Carolina to deliver reliable, scalable services such as:

  • Assembly and kitting

  • Packaging and labeling

  • Inventory management and warehousing

Our business clients benefit from high-quality, on-time service while helping us support additional job opportunities for people with disabilities. ECVC is proud to be a trusted partner in regional economic and workforce development.

Employment Services That Make a Difference

In addition to creating jobs within our facility, ECVC provides community-based employment services through our team of dedicated employment specialists. These professionals work one-on-one with individuals to:

Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)

Through our Pre-ETS program, ECVC partners with local school systems to support students ages 14–21 who have disabilities or 504 plans. We provide early career exploration, workplace readiness training, and hands-on job experiences that prepare students for future success in competitive employment or post-secondary education. This initiative helps young people build confidence, gain skills, and explore meaningful career paths.

Janitorial Services with Impact

ECVC’s janitorial team provides high-quality cleaning services to local businesses and government buildings, including more than 100,000 square feet of Pitt County government facilities weekly — a partnership that has continued for over 20 years.

When you choose ECVC for your janitorial needs, you’re supporting inclusive employment and getting reliable results.
